Founded in 2019 in a cozy 500-square-foot apartment in Brooklyn, NY, Ruoom began as a two-person operation with a big vision and plenty of late nights. Today, we’re based in Austin, TX, and have grown from that small founding team to a crew of 20. In early 2023, we celebrated a major milestone: opening our first international office in Seoul, South Korea.

Like many small businesses we’ve worked with, we’re 100% bootstrapped. What started as a Microsoft Paint sketch in a tiny apartment has become a full-fledged software product, supporting small business owners across two countries. We’ve even filed for a patent, a step that felt light-years away when we first began.

But as Ruoom grew, so did our purpose. We realized that to truly build for the future, we wanted to find a way to support you, our customer, that goes beyond building tools for you and focuses on building tools with you.
