Requirements
- PHP: 8.2 or higher
- PHP extensions: ctype, iconv, pdo, json, mbstring, xml, dom, fileinfo, intl, openssl, tokenizer; ext-gd is required for OG image generation
- Database: MariaDB (10.11+ or 11.x recommended)
- Web server: Apache (with mod_rewrite; root
.htaccessredirects topublic/) or Nginx configured for the project root - Writable directories:
var/andpublic/uploads/must exist and be writable by the web server
Instructions
You have the full project with dependencies included—no command line required.
- Upload the project to your domain root (e.g.
path/to/domain.com). The document root should be this folder—the included root.htaccessredirects requests topublic/. Ensure PHP 8.2+ and the required extensions are available on the server. - Make sure these folders exist and are writable by the web server:
var/andpublic/uploads/. On shared hosting you can often set permissions (e.g. 755 or 775) via FTP or the hosting file manager. - Open your site in a browser and go to
/install(e.g.https://your-domain.com/instal...). The web installer will:- Check PHP version and required extensions
- Let you enter your MariaDB connection details (host, port, user, password, database name)
- Create the database and schema
- Ask you to create the first admin account (email and password)###li/li###
- Log in at
/loginwith the admin account you just created. Optionally go to Admin → Settings to set the site name, email, and other options.
Note: The web installer is disabled when APP_DEMO=true is set in .env.local.
