StaticFAQ is a self-hosted FAQ accordion for PHP websites. It stores everything in a flat JSON file, so there is no database to set up and nothing to configure on the server beyond uploading the files.

Add it to any PHP page with a single include and one function call. The admin dashboard lets you add, edit and delete questions, switch between light, dark and soft styles, pick your own accent color, and run more than one separate FAQ on different pages.

It runs on standard shared hosting cPanel, DirectAdmin and Plesk and needs only PHP 7.4 or higher. A one-time installer sets your password and removes itself when finished. A compatibility checker is included so you can confirm your hosting works before you buy.

Every FAQ automatically outputs Google-ready FAQPage structured data, so your questions can appear as rich results in search.

1. Upload all files to a folder on your server - any folder name works.
2. Open install.php in your browser and set your admin password. The installer removes itself when done.
3. Add your questions from the dashboard.
4. To show the FAQ on a page, copy the include snippet from the dashboard into any PHP page. A ready-made example-embed.php is included to copy from.
