  First you need an AdSense approved Google account. Then create your own custom search engine, with the account you have AdSense approved, from here:
  https://programmablesearchengine.google.com/
  
  Then you can go into the "AdSense" tab of that created search engine and connect it with your search engine. Then you can use that CSE ID with this script. Now every time anyone searches using that search engine from the site AdSense ads will show. You can do this with other custom search engines as well.
  
  Please do note, this is strictly up to Google whether they'd show ads or not. Even after connecting, it's strictly up to them. They might show ads to some traffic/queries and none to others.

  You can put ad codes in the script from the dashboard and by editing any template you want. AdSense is only supported if you already have an Adsense approved Google CSE. And the part of accepting paid ads is up to you, it's not in the script.

  Updating to PHP 8 would require me to update the underlying framework, which doesn't provide a version for PHP 8. So it would take some time. Even though it doesn't use any breaking features but some now deprecated syntaxes.

  1,2. Yes, but for this level of integration, you'd need to manually edit the templates.
  
  3. Iframe you can insert but RSS importing is not a feature. If you know PHP, you can use something like SimplePie to code that part yourself.

  Suggestion:
  
  Just a small suggestion you may want to consider when doing any future updates. When using the Image search feature it would be amazing if you could simply click the arrow keys (Left to Right) to navigate between the images, right now you have to click on the same image and then click onto the next one. Google/Bing etc.. allows keyboard shortcuts. Again, just a small suggestion you may consider.

  Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately the image results are rendered by Google themselves. I've tried to render them on my on but it's too complicated due to the nature of provided data by Google.

  AdSense has nothing directly to do with the script. You can't use AdSense directly. You need to create your own CSE:
  https://cse.google.com/

  Then you can simply use that CSE Id with the script, please do note, the script has no control upon the search results or the ads displayed. It's all controlled by Google. This script just uses the JS API to format and present the data provided by Google.

  Bro, what you see is what you get in the script. If such feature was possible I'd have added it in the script. You can customize the script however you wish or hire a developer. I don't do custom development anymore.
