  I completely understand your frustration. You’re right — the quality of a blog post depends heavily on the AI Prompt. In AIBlog V1, there was a default prompt in place, but based on earlier requests, I removed it to give owners full control.
  
  Currently, you can set this under:
  AIBlog Dashboard → Settings → AI Config → AI Prompt & AI Tone
  These two settings play a key role in generating articles. The more specific and detailed the prompt, the better the results.
  
  That said, I also recognize that you expect a script that works out-of-the-box without extra hassle. You’re absolutely correct — I should have included a fallback prompt system. I’ve taken your feedback seriously, and in AIBlog V4 (releasing the first week of September), I’ll be adding:
  
  A smarter fallback prompt (so you always get usable content, even without fine-tuning).
  
  Support for category-specific prompts and tones, so each section of your site can have a consistent style automatically.

  This update took extra time because:
  - The 'titles' CRON Job now generate an outline for article instead of just title.
  - The 'articles' CRON Job now generates better articles using outline.
  - Each Category can have different prompts and description.
  - Improved UI design for all themes

  This version includes an inbuilt update system, so form the very next version, you will have to only upload the folder and it will automatically update.

  2. Where do I change the fake view count of posts? Can I change it to display true view count? Some are weird displayed like 0.83K views
  3. Where do I configure mail settings for contact form? Emails don't seem to go through

  4. Sitemap date sets 1970 as the year for lastmod
  5. Add captcha for admin sign in to prevent password brute forcing
  6. Add read and respond options on Contact Mails, rightnow it just shows partial snippets
  
  I'm still doing further testing, but other than what I have mentioned so far, this is a pretty clean and stable script! Well done

  1. You can edit the Gemini and Pexels prompt in controllers/Blog.php. I’ll add a custom prompt option in the next update.
  2. View counts can be changed in views/home.php, views/list.php, and views/read.php. I’ll improve the formatting and add real view support soon.
  3. It uses PHP's mail() function — make sure it's enabled. I’ll add SMTP option later.
  4. Noted about the sitemap date — will fix that.
  5. CAPTCHA for admin login will be added.
  6. Contact form will get full read/reply features in the next update.
  7. Will include captcha in every necessary page.
  
  This is the first stable launch (v1), mainly to get it out early. The next polished update is planned for 20 July.

  Another small change recommendation:
  For the AI Prompt, include the default prompt that the system is using in the box (or even in a regular text label above it), this way its easier for users to know how to adjust or what formatting to use if they want to use their custom prompt. I assume if left empty, it will revert to the default hardcoded prompt?

  See. Prompt has a schema that's quite important to parse the content from Response.
  and if that schema is remove, the whole system might crash because it won't return a valid JSON. Also, your prompt is added in the hard coded prompt, give user prompt more priority.
  Also the hard coded prompt only contains the structure of response, everything else can be customized by user easily.

  JWT_SECRET_KEY -> used for state management, so you don't get logged out after every session.
  CRON_JOB_KEY -> To automate things, like I have added 3 cron jobs and mentioned it in the documentation (You have 3 urls and use your cron job key to verify it).

  I think same thing happens on demo. It is likely due to API timeout, to get around this, script should check for API availability, success API call, increase wait time, and retry on fail, and then also check to make sure response is in valid JSON format

  This error occurs due to Gemini as it doesn't returns JSON format. So I parse it manually.
  Sometimes Gemini doesn't return the proper text which causes the error while parsing.
  
  The error you found is likely due to Pexels API. It can't find images sometimes with the thumbnail description provided by Gemini.

  Hi! Yes v3 has been updated on the site and you will notice improvement in articles as it's updated to Gemini Flash 2.5 (Latest Model).
  - About themes, Nothing has changed except adding a new empty state, which makes it look better. - My goal is always to have simplest possible design. : https://aiblog.nextmas.in/list/1?query=no+articles (empty state, use incognito)
  - AIBlog v3 is finished and will be approved by Codester by Tomorrow (18 Aug).
  - About update system, it malfunctioned last time and hence, I don't have updates regarding it in this version. I do have made the system and all but it's not working as expected, once I build a working, you will have to just change one file "updater.php" and it will work. For now Just replace all files provided in the source folder. (Except config.php, app.json, categories.php and storage/ folder).
